Ensayo sobre la ceguera.

"Si puedes mirar, ve. Si puedes ver, repara". Asi finaliza la contraportada de esta obra escrita por José Saramago. Hay muchos más ciegos de lo que pensamos. Es ciego el que no puede ver al otro, el que no mira donde pisa, el que no reconoce su ceguera. Cuidado, porque es contagioso.

It is blind who cannot see others, who does not look where his steps go to, who does not recognize his blindness. Be careful, because it is contagious.

 

 

Pero hay ocasiones en que la ceguera puede ser una elección, cuando favorece ciertos intereses. Desgraciadamente es algo que se ve a diario en las noticias. A todos ellos les aconsejo esta novela. Después de leer casi la mitad del libro he descubierto que yo también estoy más ciega de lo que creia. ¿Y tú?

But sometimes blindness can be a choice, when it supports certain interests. Unfortunately it is something seen every day in the news. I advice all of them to read this novel. After reading half of the book, I discovered that I am also more blind than I thought. And you?
