Me detengo en esta imagen. Una de las peculiaridades de Van Gogh está en la utilización del color, a menudo empleaba los colores amarillo y azul para crear contrastes. Probablemente no sea una visión realista de la luz, el volumen y las sombras, sino la visión subjetiva de Van Gogh.

I stop at this image. One of the peculiarities of Van Gogh was the use of the colour, he often used yellow and blue colors to create contrasts. Probably this not a realistic vision of the light, the volume and the shadows, but it is the subjective vision of Van Gogh.

Hay una técnica en pintura que se llama degradado, el Post-Impresionismo que es el movimiento al que pertenece la obra de este autor persigue lo contrario: que el volumen de los objetos no se cree por niveles de sombras sino por el contraste de colores. El resultado es una visión muy personal de la imagen. Es especial ¿verdad?

There is a technique in painting called gradient, the Post-Impresionism ,which is the movement this author belongs to, tries to get the opposite: that the volume of objects is not created by levels of shadows but a contrast of colors. The result is a very personal vision of the image. Isn´t it?

Hablando de sombras me merezco un descansito bajo el árbol :p
